We are currently working on a detached new build situated on an infill plot, making the most of a carefully considered piece of land within an existing setting. Projects like this present a valuable opportunity to create a contemporary home that responds sensitively to its surroundings while maximising space, light, and efficiency.
Our design approach has focused on exploring a range of open plan living arrangements to achieve a bright and modern kitchen, dining, and lounge area that forms the heart of the home. At the same time, we recognise the importance of flexibility within family living, so we are incorporating adaptable partitioning solutions that allow spaces to be opened up or enclosed as needed. This creates the option for more intimate, cosy areas without losing the sense of openness and flow.
The home is being designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability and long-term performance. High levels of insulation will ensure excellent thermal efficiency, while a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery system will provide a constant supply of fresh air without unnecessary heat loss. In addition, a large photovoltaic array will contribute to reducing the home’s energy demand, supporting a more environmentally responsible and cost-effective way of living.
